Respect is a thought
It can be a deed we do from our mind and body. We create an oasis of thought, “This is a respect,” or we will attach our thought to the incident later. We feel fear or any other emotion while these acts occur.
Thought + Act + Feeling [Fear/Happiness etc.]
We give a high position to the entity from our mind. It’s also just a thought telling "he is special and higher," except special, it's sort of ego [Manna] "thinking he is higher than me".
Respect to please someone and make them happy
Ex
I really respect this toothbrush brush because it helps me to brash my teeth every day—a Thought
If you have an ego that I am higher than a person, and if someone tells you to respect him, you will get depressed because you thought, I am higher than him. Equality also will process the same effect and make you depressed. except thinking you are lower than others, but I think it’s also a useless thought.
If a person is higher than us and if we don’t like him. We will not respect them, but there is no connection between the ego and that deed. He despises him because the person doesn’t like him.
There is a popular belief in Buddhism that if you don’t respect people, in the afterlife, you will be born as a dog. So respect people with love
By above they mean virtues respecting, not sinful respecting like below.
e.g., killing a person to respect the king.
RESPECT is an illusion society created from their minds, and it’s standardly welcome. It's some public deeds that we society, inherit and do call respecting.
Why we respect a person, something, or a service
OTHER REASONS
· - For gratitude
· - For qualities (ex love, helpful)
· - For virtue
· - To show surrender for some one
· - To make profits (gain merits) – Mostly in spirituality
· - For Power
· Devotion - Trust + Respect
· For fear force by someone + anything above
Any of above or several can mingle to gather with the deed
Respect and ego[Manna]
Ego is thinking I am higher than someone, lower than someone, equal to someone, or not equal to someone.
Showing surrender (people think it is a part of respect), ego has a huge connection with it.
Mostly self-respect means keeping the ego on a high level. It’s also a useless thought. It also can change
self-respect thought + act + Feeling.
I think the best way to respect a person is not ignoring him and treating him specially. We must listen to him, and a small smile from the lips also is a good way to respect a person.
We give a value to a person and a higher position, when we are respecting a person ;)
